Face Candling

Face Candling is a traditional Malay treatment, a simple natural remedy for treating sinusitis with herb candles.

A relaxing aromatic facial smoking, using herbal sinus candles blended from selective traditional tropical herbs to expel and kill sinus germs is completed with a facial wash and mask.

Sinusitis is an inflammation of the mucous membrane lining the para-nasal sinuses - an over secretion of mucus by the membranes lining the nose and throat. This occurs in the sinus cavities caused by bacterial infection.

The most common symptoms of sinusitis are:
- Constant or excessive sneezing
- Low grade fever
- Itchy or runny nose
- Chronic snoring
- Headaches
- Blockage of one or both nostrils
- Pressure around the eyes, head, and face
- Lack of appetite
- Difficulty in breathing
- Pain and pressure of the face
- Swelling and tenderness of the face
- Green or yellow mucus from the nose
- Cough
- Aching teeth in the upper jaw
- Reduced sense of taste and smell
- Generally feeling unwell

Three pairs of face candles are used during the training, finishing off with a facial wash and mask.

IHT trainees with Ear Candling certification may do this course in 3 hrs.

No pre-requisites required but Facial Treatments and Basic Skin Care knowledge an advantage.
